Discover Kedah 01
I'm kind of person that like to discover instagramable places around.
Even tough orang Kedah claimed this state as a kampung region that is out of date and boring, but I still trust that it was because of the pretty inside this state haven't revealed to public yet.
Here's some forgotten nice photoshoot where Laoda and me spent our good old times at Yan, Kedah.
🚩 Location: Gunung Jerai
Address on Google Map
The management there maintain the place well and plant hydrangea at resort's surrounding. You can plan a vacation here if you afraid to travel overseas because of corona virus. Haha. You can do many outdoor activities here such as camping, jungle trekking, flying fox and so on if you wish to stay here. As I just came Yan for half day trip so you can Google for more information about Gunung Jerai if you wanna plan your short trip. I will not cover itinerary for this post. 😂
As you know, Kedah is known as the rice bowl of Malaysia, standing at the high ground of Gunung Jerai, you will feel relax by watching the stunning view of beautiful paddy field, Pulau Bunting and the sea. Remember to bring a good cameraman as you can see and compare the differences between two pictures above. Urghh... ...
If I post this set of pictures to Instagram feed, my mum surely will call me IMMEDIATELY and ask me delete 'em because we are too close. My parents very strict to me and always keep an eye on my social media 😂. It's funny to see my tripod is reflected in the mirror on first picture. We got no one to help us take couple photos so we have to do it our own everytime we hang out.
While you OTW to Gunung Jerai, you will notice there will have lots of mamak stalls on the roadside before you go up hill. You can buy some cakes or coconut juice so you can picnic there or eat when you hungry. There's a cafe and a restaurant on resort's area but the price is very expensive, we went to the restaurant before and it's a nice place to chill although it's expensive, you can still enjoy the beautiful hill view while you having your meals.
Transportation is not a big deal. You can take KTM Padang Besar line from Butterworth or any available KTM station on that particular line and stop at Gurun KTM station, then call Grab to Gunung Jerai, there will have few van drivers waiting there and you can negotiate price with them. Or you can just drive to destination like me if you dare drive up hill, there is no entrance fees needed but the management there will charge you parking fees.
I have a lots of pictures in my laptop but lack of time to edit 'em all. Will sort out which will ban by mama then upload to Blog soon. Haha. I will find more beautiful places and suitable to take instagramable shots on next sembreak. Stay tuned for my Discover Kedah blog series. 😁 Here's last set of pictures before I offline. Thanks for reading this post that has so less information about Kedah's attraction but all eyecatching and heartbreaking photos to all single one. Hahahaha.
