My favourite photo editing apps
I received some feedback on which application that I always use to edit my pictures on Instagram so I decided to blog about it included the Lightroom preset that I always use to edit my Insta feeds.
1. Snapseed
-Its function same as Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, brush tool and healing tool is the most frequently use item for me in this app. Healing tool is free and you don't have to pay for premium setting, that's the benefit of Snapseed compared to Lightroom.
Ya, so you see the original picture actually have a lamp there beside us but I use healing tool in Snapseed to remove it and resize the photo ratio. The edited photo look spacious and more focus on the people.
Another useful tool in Snapseed is the 'add wording'/ 'T' tool. There are many types of pretty fonts for you to choose, you can add watermark or quote on your pictures. For the pictures below, I actually edit it with brush tool. The second row on picture I simply edit with dodge and burn -5 to emphasize more on body and face.
2. Layout Instagram
I hate that some parts of the picture have to be crop when you want to post Instagram feed because it only accepts photo resolution with square 1:1, 4:3 portrait or 3:4 landscape. When I can't choose whether bottom or top part to be crop, I will use Layout to resize the single photo. Besides, if you want to combine more pictures into 1, Layout is actually more suitable and instagrammable because it doesn't have white frames like Instasquare and so on.
3. Lightroom
I'm still so happy to see Adobe Lightroom finally have IOS and Android version. Lightroom is very good on doing colour grading and post-production. BTW, I'm still learning how to make another good preset for my next photo editing works. For 'orange yellowish filter' below, I will share the preset so beginner can use it and just copy paste preset for everytime editing.
